What “healthier” means to us:
Our products are “healthier” because they use whole food ingredients that are nutrient-dense and high in fiber and healthy fats. They can be calorie-dense as is the nature of baked goods, and are treats that should be eaten as part of a balanced diet.
The current range of products is not sugar free, as they don’t have less than 0.5g of sugar per serving. We use natural sweeteners of maple syrup and coconut sugar, and these contain sucrose, fructose and glucose. We do not use refined sugars such as white sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar and high-fructose corn syrup as the main ingredients, however as part of the sub-ingredients (the distinct components that make up a specific ingredient) in two main ingredients used in our current products sugar is listed.
Our baked goods are not suitable for people with medical conditions that require a strict limitation on their sugar intake or complete avoidance of sugar, including diabetes (type 1 and type 2), pre-diabetes, severe insulin resistance, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), fructose malabsorption and hypoglycemia.
Since we’ve had several requests for sugar free items, we are working on developing some options for future drops, so stay tuned!
